The Elite Showdown 2025 EAFC Series marked the final EA SPORTS FC25 tournament under Ooredoo Nation, held on 19 September — the same day FC26 opened for Ultimate Edition early access worldwide.

The event closed out the FC25 era and welcomed in FC26, where a special launch video was played to celebrate the transition.
Fans also witnessed a highlight moment as Mohamed Zameel, reigning Ultimate Gaming Festival EAFC Champion, played an on-stage inaugural match of FC26 during the ceremony.
This tournament was more than a competition, it was the bridge between one chapter of football esports in the Maldives and the exciting new future of FC26.
